Mothership NYC Presents: Marking of Multiple Milestones

Late August is a time of radical beginnings: Over the years, this has been a period of crucial transitions for many of our mighty mariners — the moment to set sail for new adventures.  On this last Saturday of the month, we’ll celebrate our Reverse Mothershipper/Composer  Sarah’s (US) departure for her Fulbright fellowship in Brazil, former First Officer/Curator Cristina’s (Italy) start in graduate school at Bard, and the thirtieth anniversary of Captain/Visual Artist Sol’s (Norway/US) arrival in NYC!

Come mark these milestones with us at an indoor-outdoor party anchored in Sol’s studio, aka Last Frontier NYC: We’ll treat youto a pop-up exhibition of steaming fresh paintings by rookie sailor Shaiya Isabella (Canada) at Guesthouse Gallery one flight of stairs down, as well as an audio-visual live performance by able seawoman Syngja (Canada/Iceland) on Back Roof (= backstage New York) one flight up! And then, time to boogie into the wee hours under the wide-open sky — come wearing your dancing shoes and your heart on your sleeve with BYOB in hand!
