11 AM-5 PM — ALMOST: Video Intallation by Katherina Heil
ALMOST stages an encounter with the unfamiliar. A reflective metallic hand approaches a smooth, black object suspended in space, its mirrored surface faintly reflecting a landscape. ALMOST explores the threshold between familiarity and estrangement, between what can be sensed and what can be named.
12 PM-1:30PM — Fragments of an Island: A Walking Workshop by guest artist Katherina Heil
What can a drawing tell us about a place that a map cannot? Join artist Katherina Heil (DE/NL) for a walking workshop on Governors Island exploring different ways of observing, recording and relating to our surroundings. Moving through the island, we will collect visual impressions, details, movements and associations, translating them into individual graphic notes using lines, symbols, shapes and words.
The workshop takes place outdoors, so please dress for the weather and bring weather-appropriate clothing. All drawing materials will be provided. No previous drawing experience is needed.

1-2 PM — Tribe and Vibe Collection (Nathaniel and Janelle Roots) – Presentation & Workshop
Tribe and Vibe Collection is a community-centered organization dedicated to sustainability education and indoor food growing. In partnership with Noo Arts, they are transforming the rustic kitchen into an interactive learning space for indoor gardening. Join a hands-on workshop exploring indoor gardening and hydroponic growing systems. Participants will sow seeds, learn about sustainable food production, and take home a seed-starting cup to inspire them to grow their own food.
4 PM — Exhibstency: Performance by guest artist David Helan
David Helan (CZ) works with linguistic aids, costumes, performance props and partial ready-mades. Graphs found online, readings from a book, and transformations into jazz variations: all of this will find its way into the performance.

Mothership NYC Tarot Show:
Coinciding with our Open House on October 17, we are excited to unveil a new chapter of our ongoing Tarot Exhibition. This presentation features a new selection of works by Mothership NYC, an international artist collective based in Brooklyn.
